Remission – Dance Music Cancer Benefit

In August of 2024 Shannon Dawson, a mother of 2 and beloved partner, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer and given a one year prognosis. Jim Rael, her husband, was involved in the Colorado rave scene of the early 2000s, but retired in 2008 to focus on family life.
To help with her extra expenses, fill some bucket list items and move her to a healthy home with room for her equipment and nurses, Jim, known in the rave scene as DJ Tripnosis, has come out of retirement to present one last show: a benefit for Shannon and cancer fundraiser.
We present a throwback to the glory days of 1998-2005. The days of house music, drum n bass, giant pants, hardcore and “Tickle-Me Elmo backpacks”. The days of the rave.
Break out your whistles and glowsticks, bust out the JNCOs and get ready to dance and sweat for a cause, because for one night, it’s 2005 again.
